This week perfectly showcases how odd Wyoming weather can be. While the rest of the state seems to be getting slammed with snowstorms, Northern Wyoming has barely seen any of it that I'm concerned for snowpack and drought this summer. Today and tomorrow are supposed to be in the high 60's before we steadily drop to possibilities of snow later in the week. I highly doubt we'll see any aside from up on the mountain. Which, for once, would be okay with me because I have to drive three hours east Saturday with my mom, children, and dogs.
Last week, I wrapped up my first complete rough draft since November and now trying to figure out what I'm doing next. I'm in a dilemma with one book coming out this year. I have two very different versions of it and trying to figure out which one to go with. Thankfully, a good friend of mine is helping me out by reading both. For now, I'm going to try to focus on a certain cottontail shifter who needs his story told now. I had one story done for him, but going in a different direction now. Unfortunately, this means his book won't be coming out until 2026, but I hope he's worth the wait. That's all for the week! Have a great one! x Brooke

I couldn't get a picture of all three of them together, so you get my sweet girl while her two cousins chase each other around my living room.
This week leads to the end of one of the rough drafts I've been working on and on Saturday when I get to the end, I will call to the end of my writing slump. I wouldn't say it was a block because I have plenty of ideas and stories started, but not very many actually finished. Saturday, I'm really hoping this will be the end of it so I can at least get one more book written before I start on second drafts for the summer. It'll likely not happen until after I get my ears pierced for second holes this coming weekend. I've been wanting to do it for a long time but kept chickening out until I told my best friend to schedule an appointment and I'll go to get them done. I prefer wearing hoops but have so many cute studs I could wear in the second hole after they are both healed up. I don't have much else to add for this week. As always, have a great one! x Brooke New Year's Day, the husband, our youngest, and I took a ride up the mountain and I thought I saw too squiggle lines up on a hill. This picture was taken with me practically backward in the passenger seat and through a back window because the husband wouldn't stop.
Sure enough, two perfect lines. The picture turned out pretty well, don't you think? Anyway, as this first full week of March begins, I'm working away on projects and thinking up something new that's both book related and not so much if that makes any sense. Last week, I released yet another book, don't worry, you get a break now until May when Whiskey Throttle comes out. If you are interested in The Mating Chance, it's available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Kobo, and Smashwords for now. I don't have much else to share. Have a great week! x Brooke It didn't feel like I read a lot of books in February, but apparently I did. Let's dive right on in!

Happy Reading! x Brooke Mondays are difficult, but this one is a little extra this time around. While I have characters screaming at me to get written down, I'm lacking the motivation especially since I started A Court of Silver Flames last night. I'm a complete Cassian girl.
But it isn't he Illyrian Mountains I'm dreaming of, but that of the Bighorns. I want to be up top fishing, hiking, and taking pictures. That's not to be right now. Fresh snow will prevent me from at least fishing, but I think I need to take a day trip up just to go take pictures. No hiking either unless I remember to pack my snowshoes. This week is much like all the others, I'm diving into writing and hoping to wrap up at least one of the stories by the end of the month. Ten days until The Mating Chance comes out. Be sure you subscribe to my newsletter to get all the details on that. That's all I have for this week. Have a great one! I hope you find something fantastic to read! x Brooke I'm plugging away at my multi-writing project but feel like all the energy has been drained from me. No, it's not from watching the Super Bowl. In fact, I was watching Cheaper by the Dozen with my kids and reading instead. I spent yesterday deep cleaning my house and taking new pictures of all my books while bouncing between reading A Court of Wings and Ruin and Under the Oak Tree. Loving both stories by the way.
I don't have much else to share this week. I'm kind of boring right now. If you are interested in shifters and would like an ARC of my upcoming book, The Mating Chance, please feel free to reach out to me. Have a great one! x Brooke It's been a week since I decided to try to get three stories out of my head and write them at the same time. And I'd like to say I haven't lost my marbles yet! It helps each story is completely different from each other with six different characters filling my mind. I've managed to write almost 4,000 words each day and a little over 2,000 this past weekend.
I'm having fun with it, not forcing the words but enjoying how each of these books are coming together. In other words, I'm impatiently waiting for paperback copies of Resisting Nature which should be coming in this week and working away on getting The Mating Chance ready for a Leap Day release at the end of the month! This book will not be on Kindle Unlimited for the first couple of months. I'm releasing it wide along with all the other authors in the Lumbercats Series. If you are interested in an ARC (Advanced Reading Copy) to read and review the book for me, please let me know. You will not be required to make editing corrections, it's just for reading. The book is in the editing process so I know there are errors lingering in there. That's all I have for you this week. Have a great one and I hope you're reading something great! x Brooke I'm back! 2024 saw me reading quite a bit. Some the first 16 mangas Jujutsu Kaisen. I'm going to see if I can try something different this year with a couple of ratings with each title.

It really didn't feel like I read this much. As always, I hope you find something on this list to read. Have a great one and happy reading! x Brooke I literally have three stories screaming in my mind right now. I guess when I come back from a writer's block, my mind doesn't hold back. One is a dark romance, another is the shifter one I'm working on, and another is a romantasy I've found myself daydreaming over.
The question is, can I do this? Balance three books at one? Maybe right one chapter for each a day? I'm not really sure. As you likely saw Friday, I didn't do my What Brooke Read post. I decided to start waiting until after the month is over, so it'll be coming this week instead. Last week I released the fourth book in the Powder River Pack Series, Resisting Nature. If you're looking for a great werewolf read, make sure you pick it up today! Have a great week! x Brooke |
